ABSTRACT
Greenhouse technology is the technique of providing favorable environmental for growth of the plants. It is used to protect the plants from the adverse climatic conditions and to provide optimum conditions of light, temperature, and humidity for the best growth of plants to achieve maximum yield and best quality. The research work was carried out at Department of Farm Structures, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Dapoli in the bamboo polyhouses covered with clear poly film and diffused poly film. The data was recorded temperature, relative humidity, and light intensity. The environmental parameters were record at nine different locations in bamboo poly houses. It was found that light intensity and temperature were more in diffused polyfilm as compared to clear polyfilm and relative humidity was more in clear polyfilm as compared to diffused polyfilm. Low light intensity was observed in lower zone than upper and middle zone of poly houses. Early maturity of cucumber was found in diffused polyfilm greenhouse as compared to clear polyfilm greenhouse.
Key words :
