ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted at the Regional Research Centre, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Amravati, Maharashtra, India, during rainy seasons of 2012 to 2014 in Facrorial Randomized Block Design. Experiment comprised of spraying of chlormequat chloride at 40 DAS (@ 500, 750, 1000, 1500, 2000 ppm, water spray and control) as one factor and two method of application of chlormequat chloride (seed treatment of chlormequat chloride and foliar application of chlormequat chloride at 40 DAS) as a second factor were replicated thrice. Pooled data over the three years reveled that foliar application of chlormequat chloride @ 1000 ppm at 40 DAS showed significantly superior over all rest of the treatments in respect of seed yield (1643 kg ha-1) , straw yield (1713 kg ha-1) and also recorded higher GMR (` 51141 ha-1), NMR (` 25427 ha-1) and B:C ratio (1.99).
Key words :
Chlormequat chloride, GMR, NMR, Seed treatment, Soybean, Test weight.
