ABSTRACT
In the current set of an experiment seventy four Recombinant Inbred Lines (F8 generation) of cross between genotypes ICG 4747 and TMV 2 NLM along with five checks were evaluated over three seasons for genotypic variation and stability analysis for pod yield per plant. The analysis of variance indicated the existence of significant differences among the genotypes studied. Significant difference due to environment (linear) was observed for pod yield. The moderate GCV and PCV were observed in BY. In the present study high heritability along with high genetic advance was observed for PY, HI and KY (S1), SCMR (S2) and SMK (S3). Significant G x E interaction showed the differential performance of genotypes over different environments / seasons. Twelve genotypes with bi value and S2di near to one and zero, respectively were found stable irrespective of changes in environments. Out of which 2-1, 2-4, 2-6, 4-3, 6-3 with higher mean pod yield per plant would be promising. Hence, the genotype may be recommended over wide range of environments / seasons.
