ABSTRACT
Influence of different growth regulator treatments for instance Indole butyric acid (IBA), Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and sucrose with different concentrations and combinations was studied on hardwood and semi-hardwood cuttings of karonda. The investigation was conducted at Central Horticultural Experiment station, Chettalli, Karnataka, India during the year 2016-17 on variety Konkan bold. The experiment was laid out in factorial Complete randomized design. The growth regulators and their combinations (Treatments -nine) along with the type of cuttings (Cuttings-two) had a significant interaction for rooting parameters like days taken for root initiation, percentage of rooted cuttings , number of roots per rooted cuttings, root volume (ml), fresh and dry weight of root (g) at (p= 0.01). The results revealed that hardwood cuttings (C2) treated with IBA 6000 ppm + 2000 ppm NAA (T6) performed better and registered maximum percentage of rooted cuttings, after 90 days of planting.
