ABSTRACT
Field experiments were conducted during samba season of 2015 and 2016 at college farm, to standardize the spacing and nitrogen level for pre-release rice culture ,TR 2005-031 and TR 2005-043. The main plot treatments consisted 2 varieties of rice and two pre-release rice cultures. The sub- plot treatments consisted two levels of spacing , viz., 20x10 cm and 25x25 cm and three levels of nitrogen fertilizer, viz., 187:50:50,150:50:50, and 234:50:50 kg NPK ha-1. The results revealed that the culture TR 2005-031 needs a spacing of 20x10 cm and fertilizer level of 234: 50: 50 kg NPK ha-1 to record an yield of 6579 kg ha-1. Further the culture, TR 2005-043 has recorded an yield of 5337 kg ha-1 with a spacing of 25x25 cm with fertilizer level of 234:50: 50 kg NPK ha-1 under sodic soil condition .
Key words :
