ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted during rabi season in 2013-14 and 2014-15 to study the reverberation of organic, inorganic and biofertilizers on yield and uptake by wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The experiment was laid out in a Split plot design with 27 treatment combinations which consisted of 3 organic manures (FYM @ 10 t ha-1, vermicompost @ 4 t ha-1 and poultry manure @ 5 t ha-1), 3 levels of inorganic fertilizers (50% RDF, 75% RDF and 100% RDF) and 3 levels of biofertilizers (Azotobacter, PSB and Azotobacter + PSB) were replicated three times. Results showed that combined use of poultry manure @ 5 t ha-1 and 75 % RDF significantly increased the grain yield (5.458 t ha-1), straw yield (10.853 t ha-1), biological yield (16.310 t ha-1) and N (147.626 kg ha-1), P (45.603 kg ha-1), K (196.356 kg ha-1) uptake by wheat. Likewise combined application of poultry manure @ 5 t ha-1 + Azotobacter + PSB significantly enhanced the grain yield (5.633 t ha-1), straw yield (10.884 t ha-1), biological yield (16.518 t ha-1) and N (152.209 kg ha-1), P (47.574 kg ha-1), K (195.174 kg ha-1) uptake by wheat over lower levels of other treatment combination. These results showed that combined application of poultry manure @ 5 t ha-1 + 75% RDF + Azotobacter + PSB gave higher yield and increase nutrient uptake by wheat.
