ABSTRACT
The study was conducted in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, based on the primary data of 110 groundnut cultivators for the year 2019-2020. Data for the study were collected with the aid of a well- structured questionnaires. Data collected were analyzed using tabulation method along with required statistical tools. The results indicated that the cost incurred by small, medium and large farms (D. 72622/ha) (D. 70719.2/ha) and (D. 68908.5/ha) respectively. Average Benefit: cost ratio of kharif groundnut was 1:1.24. This indicates that there is a scope to increase the use of resources to increase the production. The study reveals that need to increase soil testing laboratories, adoption of recommended technologies like use of HYV and hybrid varieties, fertilizers, plant protection and other technologies given by the Universities for increasing the groundnut productivity.
