ABSTRACT
The present investigation was carried out with 15 diverse groundnut genotypes in Randomized Block Design at Instructional Farm, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur (Rajasthan). The 11 morphological and one biochemical characters were statistically analyzed. The analysis of variation (ANOVA) showed significant genetic variation among genotypes and mean values showed narrow to moderate range of diversity between characters studied. The number of pods per plant, haulm yield and kernel yield had high value of variance indicates that the diversity was present which could contribute to improvement of crop. Ward's hierarchical cluster analysis grouped the genotypes into two clusters, cluster I and II were apart at 25 rescaled values. The genetic diversity among fifteen genotypes was studied by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis. Total 15 RAPD primers were used and polymorphism percent was 51.85. There was correlation between morphological and molecular analysis.
