ABSTRACT
A farmers participatory field experiment was conducted to assess the yield potential of new wheat varieties under different land use of Jaisalmer district during the rabi season of 2010-11and 2011-12 on sandy loamy soils. The experiment was laid out in factorial randomized block design with seven treatments, three AESs of Jaisalmer district and replicated five adopted villages. Results revealed that genotype of wheat (Raj- 1482) was gave significantly grain yield (45.70) and harvest index (44.66) with B: C ratio (3.30) which were 45.37, 42.24, 57.89, 56.39, 67.51 and 10.36 per cent increase respectively over Raj-3077, Raj-3765, Raj-3777, PBW-347, WH- 147 and Raj- 4083. Whereas statically at par different agro- ecological situations for all parameters with each other.
