ABSTRACT
The present study was conducted during 2014-15 to know the variation in berry parameters of 6 coloured wine varieties under northern dry zone of Karnataka. The observations were recorded after fore pruning in grape vines. The genotype Medika recorded the maximum length of berry (0.75, 1.07, 1.12, 1.46, 1.63, 1.64 cm), diameter of berry (0.73, 1.08, 1.10, 1.29, 1.49, 1.57 and 1.59 cm) and mean weight of berry (0.12, 0.72, 1.01, 1.57, 2.48, 2.72 and 3.08 g) at 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105 and 120 days after fruit set. The mean dry weight of berry (0.16, 0.33, 0.52, 0.60 g) at 60, 75, 105 and 120 days after fruit set. The genotype Tempranillo recorded the minimum length of berry (1.31 cm), diameter of berry (1.30 cm) and mean weight of berry (1.67 g), dry weight of berry (0.33 g) during harvesting (120 days after fruit set).
