ABSTRACT
Ninty nine, day old commercial broiler chicks (VenCobb 400) were divided into three groups of 33 birds in each and assigned three treatment diets with three replicate of 11 broilers each with the aim to determine the effect of indigenous herbal drug (Withania somnifera, Asparagus racemosus, Mucuna pruriens) and marketed herbal drug supllementation in diets on biochemical attributes and cost in broilers. All the birds were fed basal diets and in treatment groups; T2 group birds were supplemented with 50 ml market herbal drug (Livkey) per kg feed and T3 group birds were supplemented with 2% of indigenous herbal drug per kg feed. Experiment was conducted for 42 days. The results showed that all treatments have non significant effect on SGPT, SGOT, serum protein, serum glucose, serum urea of the broiler chicks. From the value of net income per kg starter chicks ` 7.11 in group T3 and ` 2.42 in group T2 more as compare to group T1.
