ABSTRACT
An experiment was conducted to study the characterization of different accessions of black jamun (Syzyguim cuminii Skeels) from Saurashtra region at Fruit Research Station, Madhadi bagh, Deptt. of Horticulture, Junagadh Agril. Uinversity, Junagdh. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replications. Total twenty accessions of black jamun were tested. The significant variation were found for fruit and quality parameters. Maximum fruit length and fruit girth were recorded in accession VR-1 and found at par with accessions VM-1, VB-1 and VMA-1. Similarly, fruit weight and pulp weight were also observed highest in accessions VR-1 and at par with VM-1 & VMA-1. In case of seed weight, significantly lowest seed weight was recorded in accession BS-1, but highest pulp seed ratio was observed in accession VR-1.
