ABSTRACT
The recovery studies of Azoxystrobin 25 SC with fortified green chillli, dry red chilli samples and soils revealed that more than 100 per cent of Azoxystrobin 25 SC was recovered by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Azoxystrobin 25 SC residues were recovered up to five days in chilli fruits after last spray and thereafter the residue level was below detectable level in both the trials. The residues of Azoxystrobin 25 SC in chilli fruits showed that the half-life (T 0.5) for fruit was 1.84 to 2.62 days after spraying. The safe waiting period for the harvest of chilli fruits were first 6 days and second trial for 11 days Azoxystrobin 25 SC at 150 g a.i. ha-1 The concentrated residue of Azoxystrobin 25 SC @ 150 g a.i , taken from chilli fruits at different days after spraying with Azoxystrobin 25 SC, produced an movement on TLC at Rf. 0.54.This paper reports the results of a study performed to investigate the potential of a thin layer chromatography (TLC) bioassay for detection of fungicidal residues on harvested chilli and soil
