ABSTRACT
Combining ability results revealed that there were significant differences among the parents and crosses for all the characters studied. Non-additive gene effects were predominant for all characters, except for days to 50 percent flowering for which additive gene action was predominant. The parents ICPL-3406, ICPL-20106, BSMR-175, BSMR-2, ICPR-2766, ICPR-3477 were the best general combiners for grain yield, whilethe crosses ICPL-20106 x ICPL-3477, ICPL-3450 x AKT-9913, ICPL-3406 x BSMR-203 were the best specific combiners for yield and its components.
