ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted during summer-2014 at Zonal Agricultural Research Station, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru for studies on weed management approaches for trickle irrigated aerobic rice on red sandy loam soil. The experiment consisted of ten treatments laid in Randomized complete block design with three replications comprising of weed free check, weedy check, hand weeding, hand hoeing and their combinations, pre and post-emergent application of herbicides through manual and trickle irrigation. Herbigation of pre-emergent pretilachlor + bensulfuran methyl and post-emergent bispyribac sodium at 20 DAS recorded higher grain yield (9892 kg ha-1) after weed free check (10615 kg ha-1), it was on par with hand hoeing at 15, 30 and 45 DAS (8308 kg ha-1) and herbigation of pre-emergent pretilachlor + bensulfuran methyl (8194 kg ha-1) compared and significantly superior over to weedy check (1101 kg ha-1).
