ABSTRACT
Correlation and path analysis studies on seventeen pod yield and yield attributing traits in twelve genotypes of French bean revealed that pod yield per plant had highly significant and positive association with germination percentage, plant height, number of primary branches per plant, number of secondary branches per plant, number of clusters per plant, number of pods per cluster, number of pods per plant, pod length, pod circumference, harvest index both at genotypic and phenotypic level, indicating the possibility of improvement in these traits through simultaneous selection. Path coefficient analysis revealed that number of branches per plant at 45 DAS, number of pods per plant and pod circumference were the most influencing factors to improve the pod yield.
