ABSTRACT
The study was conducted in the year 2016 – 2017 to study the “Cost of Production and Profitability per litre of milk in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Delhi-NCR” with a sample of 100 respondents The results indicated that the number of respondents who had education level of Graduation were more in large size farms followed by medium and small . And it was also observed that the number of illiterates were more in small size farms followed by medium and large size of farms. Average number of milch animals per household in small, medium and large size farm groups was 1.65, 4.3 and 6.66 respectively. Cost of production for one liter of cow milk was Rs. 21.13 in small sized farm groups, Rs. 20.02 in medium and Rs. 17.06 large sized farm groups. Cost of production for one liter of buffalo milk was ` 25.72 in small sized farm groups, Rs. 24.71 in medium and Rs. 21.74 large sized farm groups.
