ABSTRACT
The study was conducted in the year 2016 – 2017 to study the Costs and returns in broiler production in different size farm groups in Delhi with a sample of 60 respondents. Respondents were classified into three category on the basis of number of poultry birds viz., Small (having to less than 500 poultry birds), medium (between 500-1000 poultry birds) and large (more than 1000 poultry birds); large size farm groups were more in study area. The net cost of maintenance in small, medium and large farms size group were Rs. 54832.24, Rs. 121804.74 and Rs. 347511.16 respectively. The sample average cost of maintenance per farm was Rs. 174716.04. Cost of production per kg in small size farm group was Rs. 75.45, in medium size farm group was Rs. 65.25 and in large size farm group was Rs. 50.81.
