ABSTRACT
The present study was conducted during the year 2017-18 in Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri and Uttar Kannada districts of North Karnataka. The Ex-post-facto research design was used for the study. In each district two taluks were selected. Further, from each taluk 20 farmers were selected to form a sample of 160 by using random sampling technique. The collected data were analysed by using appropriate statistical tools in order to draw meaningful conclusions. It was found that Cent per cent of farmers fully adopted the by-products of crops as fodder for cattle and cow dung as farm yard manure, followed by growing of fodder crop in less than twenty gunta area as a fodder for milch animals (81.25%) of the farmers adopted partially. As high as 76.87 per cent of farmers fully adopted 1/ha of mixed farming, rearing three-four milch animals to get milk throughout the year. More than forty per cent (43.12%) of the farmers was found to be low adoption of recommended integrated farming system practices.
