ABSTRACT
The Methylene Blue Reduction (MBR) time in T1, T2, T3, T4, T5,T6, T7, T8 and T9 were 2.87, 3.37, 2.37, 3.05, 1.28, 5.12, 2.30, 2.90 and 2.22 hours respectively which indicated significantly difference (p<0.05) between the treatments. Similarly the corresponding figures in Resazurin Reduction Time Test (RRTT) in nine groups were found as 2.87, 3.50, 2.50, 3.05, 2.32, 5.25, 2.32, 3.03 and 2.34 hours respectively. The Resazurin Test (RT) significantly differ (p>0.05) between the areas. A similar result were observed in the Standard Plate Count (SPC) in T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8 and T9 treatments and the corresponding figures were 15.34, 14.12, 16.50, 14.95, 19.37, 13.25, 16.70, 15.10 and 17.80 million per ml. of milk respectively. The Standard plate Count also differs significantly (p<0.05) between areas. The Direct Microscopic Count of raw milk in T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8 and T9 were 1610.00, 1446.25, 1752.50, 1461.25, 1996.25, 1180.00 1793.25, 1597.50 and 1882.50 thousand per ml. of raw milk respectively. The Direct Microscopic Count of raw milk again differ significantly (p<0.05) between areas as aforesaid three tests.
