ABSTRACT
The various morphometric parameters of the Upper Ozat river basin area were determined. The total numbers of 206 streams were identified. The Upper Ozat River is a 5th order stream covering an area of 1409.98 km2. The mean stream length of the basin varies from 3.904 km to 39.774 km. The size and the shape of a river basin are the basic morphological parameters, which affect the water as well as sediment discharge in a catchment. The elongation ratio of watershed was calculated as 0.654 which reveals that the watershed is less elongated. The study was under taken for morphological analysis of the watershed area for the Upper Ozat river basin of Junagadh district of Gujarat (India).
