ABSTRACT
Diversity analysis among sixty one restorers' lines identified on diverse cytoplasmic sources of pearl millet has been worked out using Mahalanobis D2 statistics. Based on D2 value, sixty one restorer's lines were grouped into 19 clusters. The D2 statistics showed adequate diversity among the genotypes with D2 value ranging from 23 to 1405. Among the twelve quantitative characters studied the most important character contributing to the divergence was days to maturity and the maximum diversity was observed between IP-8276 and IP-10839, followed by IP-8276 and IP-19388, IP-8276 and IP-18742.
