ABSTRACT
The present investigation on effect of biofertilizers on growth, flowering and corm yield in Gladiolus (Tourn) L. cv. Priscilla was carried out at the experimental field of Division of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Shalimar campus , Srinagar. The results revealed that gladiolus responded well to the biofertilizers and significant improvement was observed in growth, flowering, quality ,yield attributes and nutrient status in soil, leaves and corms of gladiolus as compared to treatment control. Treatment combination of Azotobacter +Azospirillum +80% N +100% P and K of recommended dose recorded significant increase in vegetative characters, yield attributes and nutrient status of leaves, corms and soil. Azotobacter +60% N +100% P and K of recommended dose followed by PSB +60% P +100% N and K of recommended dose recorded earliest attainment of colour break and floret opening stage by the plants. VAM +PSB +80% P +100% N and K of recommended dose recorded highest weight of cormels plant-1 and weight of cormels m-2.
