ABSTRACT
Seed application of various bioinoculants viz., nitrogen fixers, P. solubilizers (PSB), pink pigmented facultative methylotrophs (PPFM) and silicate solubilizers appears to be most promising in decreasing the disease incidence and sucking pest population on cotton plant. The individual effect of inoculation of bioinoculants on various pests and diseases were studied which clearly indicates that the treatment receiving Azospirillum + PSB + PPFM along with 75 per cent RDF with phyllosphere spray of PPFM show minimum population of aphid, thrips, jassids, whitefly and mealy bugs as well as minimum incidence of various diseases (i.e. reddening, rhizoctonaia, black arm and grey mildew) while highest pests and disease symptoms were found in control plots.
