ABSTRACT
The field experiment was conducted on the field of Horticultural Research Station, Kodaikanal during the period of 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 on Psyllium. The present study revealed that soil application of talc based Pseudomonas fluorescens 1kg combined with 20 kg of FYM showed that minimum downy mildew (Peronospora plantaginis) incidence (8.08, 9.74, and 7.64 per cent) during season I and (9.23, 10.18, and 8.46 per cent) during season II at 30, 60 and 90 DAP respectively. The highest plant height was recorded (40.56, 60.31 and 80.00 cm) at 30, 60 and 90 days after planting in Psyllium in field. The maximum leaf area (44.72, 60.48 and 79.46cm) at 30, 60 and 90 days after planting respectively in above treatment.
