ABSTRACT
nteraction effect of planting date and gibberellic acid levels revealed statistically non-significant influence of combined effect of planting date and gibberellic acid levels in carrot under the investigation. Economic evaluation of different treatment showed great influence due to sowing date D1 (15th september) as well as gibberellic acid level G3 (150 ppm spray). The highest gross return and net return as well as B:C ratio for carrot production was obtained with sowing date D1 (15 september) under gibberellic acid level G3 (150 ppm spray). On the basis of present experiment, It may be concluded that among the different sowing dates, D1 (15th September) showed superior performance for growth attributes, yield attributes, yield and quality in carrot. Among the gibberellic acid levels, G3 (150 ppm spray) resulted in the highest growth parameters, yield parameters, yield and quality of carrot production. Economic evaluation also showed that sowing date D1 (15th September) and gibberellic acid levels G3 (150 ppm spray) resulted in maximum gross return, net return and B:C ratio for carrot production.
