ABSTRACT
In these experiment, out of 13 treatments and three sowing dates, the seeds in T6 (1000ppm GA3 for 24 hours) and T5 (500ppm GA3 for 24) hours treatment along with 15th April sowing showed highest (80.00) germination percentage of ber seeds. Minimum (19.33) number of days for germination of ber seed were taken in treatment T2 (concentrated H2SO4 for 4 minute) along with 15th April sowing, which were statistically at par (19.67 days) in treatment T3 (concentrated H2SO4 for 8 minutes) along with 15th April sowing, and was followed by 20.33 days taken for seed germination in treatment T6 (1000 ppm GA3 for 24 hours) along with 15th April sowing. Maximum number of leaves (111.67), seedling height (58.60 cm) in T6, diameter of seedling (0.773 cm), diameter of tap root (0.781 cm), taproot length (32.10 cm), taproot fresh weight (2.69 g), taproot dry weight (2.21 g), total fresh weight of roots (3.09 g), total dry weight of roots (2.54), was recorded in seedlings germinated from the seeds with treatment T6 and was followed by treatment T5 as compared to seedlings germinated from the seeds without treatment.
