ABSTRACT
The cultural study on growth and sporulation of the Colletotrichum lagenarium indicated that among various liquid and solid media, Richard's medium proved to be the best for growth and sporulation of the fungus. It was followed by Potato dextrose agar and broth supported profuse growth and excellent sporulation of the test fungus. The growth of Colletotrichum lagenarium was excellent at pH 5.5 followed by pH 5.0 and pH 6.0. The growth was poor at pH 3.0 and 4.0. Sporulation was excellent at pH 5.5 followed by pH 5.0 and pH 6.0. The growth was poor at pH 3.0, 4.0 and 9.0.
Key words :
