ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted on loamy sand soil of Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Project, Anand Agricultural University, Anand during rabi season of the year 2011-12 to study the effect of different organic manures and fertilizers on yield and quality of vernonia. The experiment was conducted in randomized block design with 4 replications and 8 treatments. Results indicated that the application of FYM @ 10 t ha-1 (T4) showed significantly higher seed yield which was remained at par with application of vermicompost @ 2 t ha-1 (T5) , castor cake @ 2 t ha-1 (T6) and neem cake @ 2 t ha-1 (T7). Oil content (%) significantly higher under control treatment and which was remained at par with neem cake @ 2 t ha-1 (T7).
