Prameela M. and Uma Devi G. 2020. Effect of different organic supplements on yield of oyster and milky mushrooms. Green Farming Vol. 11 (6) : 545-547 ; Nov-Dec., 2020.

ABSTRACT
An experiment was carried out to evaluate potential benefits of seven different organic supplements viz., rice bran, soybean flour, pigeon pea powder, black gram powder, green gram powder, neem cake and cotton cake in cultivation of oyster and milky mushroom. Among all the treatments imposed the addition of soybean flour, neem cake and cotton cake while spawning @ 4% per kg dry paddy straw substrate, reduced the period taken for complete spawn running to 17-18 days, whereas pinhead formation was observed within 11-12 days in addition of soybean and cotton cake supplements. Among all the supplements added soybean and cotton cake supplements enhanced the yield up to 932.74 and 873.05 g/kg dry substrate with high biological efficiency of 93.27 % and 87.31 % respectively.
