ABSTRACT
The experiment was conducted in the year 2015, 2016 and 2017 during kharif season at agriculture farm of Fasalwadi Village Sangareddy district Telangana, India to study the effect of different sources of organic manures and inorganic fertilizers on rice (Oryza sativa L.) and soil properties. Experiment was carried out with two cultivars of rice RP.BIO.226 and DRR Dhan 39 and combinations of 10 treatments and two controls. Four organic manures viz., Farm yard manure, vermicopost, panchagvya and jeevamrutha and inorganic fertilizers were used. Grain and straw yield were increased with combination of organic manures vermicompost, panchagavya and jeevamrutha and inorganic fertilizers. The treatment (T10 NPK 50% + vermicompost + panchagavya 3% + jeevamrutha 5%) has given higher grain and straw yields. The lowest grain and straw yields were observed in inorganic fertilizer of NPK which is one of the controls. Increased growth and yield parameters of rice and improvement in soil physical and chemical properties of rice land were observed with application of organic manures.
