ABSTRACT
In India guava orchards have become chronically affected by micronutrient deficiency in a large area because of imbalanced secondary and micronutrient management in recent years. Hence, experiment on the effect of foliar application of secondary and micronutrients on yield parameters viz., number of flower buds per shoot, fruit set per shoot and number of fruits per plant, yield per plant and fruit drop percent of guava cv. Allahabad Safeda is conducted with fourteen treatments combination and replicated thrice was carried out at Regional Horticultural Research and Extension Centre, Bengaluru from August 2014 to March 2015. The results showed that there was significantly influenced by the foliar application of secondary and micronutrients on application of RDF + foliar spray of Zn+Mg+Mn @ 0.75 % + Cu +Fe @0.5% + MAP 0.5% which recorded the recorded the maximum number of flower buds per shoot (5.63), fruit set per shoot (4.33), number of fruits per plant (102.33), maximum fruit drop per cent (25.46 %) and maximum yield per plant (15.57 kg) and minimum was recorded in RDF+ foliar spray of Zn+DAP @0.5% among all yield parameters in this treatment.
Key words :
Fruit drop per cent, Fruit set per shoot, Guava, Yield attributes.
