ABSTRACT
Induced mutations results in morphological, physiological and genetical changes in different parts of the plants. Effect of 10,20 and 30 KR gamma rays doses and 0.1 , 0.2 and 0.3% ethyl methane sulphonate (EMS) for 16 hours in Jwala an improved cultivar of chilli (Capsicum annuum ) on germination and mortality percentage have been studied . The gamma rays and EMS treatments showed that the germination percentage was decreases and mortality percentage increases with increasing their doses and concentrations.
Key words :
Capsicum annuum, chilli, EMS, gamma rays, seed germination.
