ABSTRACT
Investigation was carried out to know the effect of three different concentrations of GA3 (100, 150 and 200 ppm), CCC (250, 500 and 750 ppm) and NAA (50, 100 and 150 ppm) including control (distilled water spray) on growth, flowering and yield of golden rod. It was concluded that foliar application of 200 ppm GA3 has shown superiority in all vegetative, flowering and yield characters viz., plant height (145.13 cm), number of leaves per plant (72.40), length of leaf (18.38 cm), width of leaf (4.17 cm), number of suckers per plant (7.23), fresh weight of plant (243.47), dry weight of plant (90.78 g), number of days taken for first and 50% flowering (88.87 and 117.31, respectively), duration of flowering (66.22 days), number of inflorescence branches per panicle (58.40), length of panicle (110.40 cm), length of flowering region per panicle (56.80 cm), fresh and dry weight of panicles (123.40 and 74.01 g, respectively) and yield (number of panicles) per plant (5.20).
