ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of hydropriming and polymer coating seed treatments on field performance of pearl millet 'ICMV-221' variety. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications to determine the best seed treatment combinations for getting maximum seed yield of good quality in pearl millet. The results of the present investigation revealed that, hydroprimed polymer coated seeds treated with Azospirillum 125 g per kg seed found to be significantly superior in growth and yield parameters like field emergence (88.98%), plant stand (72.50 plants/plot), days to 50 per cent flowering (45.25 days), seed yield per plant (72.50 g), seed yield per ha (14.34 q/ha) and 1000-seed weight (13.71 g) as compared to untreated control (T9).
