ABSTRACT
An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of integrated nutrient management (INM) on growth, yield and residual soil nutrient status in tuberose at the Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture and the Department of Soil Science, K.N.K. College of Horticulture Mandsaur (RVSKVV, Gwalior) during 2015 -2016. Seven INM treatment combinations of different nutrients were employed with three replications. Results showed that application of T6 (100% RDF + vermicompost (2.5 t ha-1) + Azotobacter) was the best, recording the maximum plant height (58.60 cm), the maximum number of leaves per plant (24.07) and the maximum leaf area per plant (1256.53 cm2). With respect to flowering, significantly earliest first spike emergence (121.60 days), the maximum number of spikes per plant (1.80), the maximum length of spike (77.07 cm), the maximum number of florets per spike (27.07), the maximum length of florets (4.41 cm), the maximum diameter of the florets (4.11 cm) and the longest duration of flowering (30.07 days) were recorded by this treatment. The application of T6 (100% RDF + Vermicompost (2.5 t ha-1) + Azotobacter) also recorded the maximum organic carbon content (0.76%), the maximum values of available nitrogen (220 kg/ha), phosphorus (19.33 kg/ ha), potassium (380 kg/ha), sulphur (22.70 ppm), zinc (1.70 ppm), copper (2.30 ppm), iron (5.20 ppm) and manganese (8 ppm).
