ABSTRACT
The field experiment was conducted on the field of P.G.I. MPKV, Rahuri, during the kharif season of 2002-03 and 2003-04 under rainfed conditions. During kharif season of both the years treatments for soybean consisted of eight treatments [viz., 125%RDF inorganic, 125% RDF (25% N substituted through FYM), 100%RDF inorganic, 100 % RDF (25% N substituted through FYM), 75% RDF inorganic, 75% RDF (25% N substituted through FYM), 50% RDF inorganic, 50% (25% N substituted through FYM) with three replications.] The analysis of two years data indicated that the treatment 125% RDF in which 25% N substituted through FYM resulted in maximum height / plant, number of compound leaves/ plant, leaf area / plant, dry matter accumulation/ plant, number of root nodules / plant, number of pod, pod weight, number of grain and grain weight and also the grain yield and straw yield per hectare. Where as it was at par with 100% RDF, 25% N substituted through FYM.
