ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted at Soil and Water Management Research Farm, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari (Gujarat) to study the effect of irrigation and sulphur levels on yield of cluster bean under South Gujarat condition during summer season of 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15 on clayey soils (Vertic Ustochrepts). In all 12 treatment combinations arising out of three levels of irrigation i.e., I1: 0.4, I2: 0.6 and I3: 0.8 IW/CPE ratios and four levels of sulphur i.e., S0: control, S1: 20 kgS/ha through gypsum, S2: 40 kgS/ha through gypsum and S3: S as SSP (inadvertent addition) were tested in factorial RBD. In case of seed yield, treatment I2 and I3 remained at par with each other and both recorded significantly higher seed yield in comparison to treatment I1. In case of S application, treatment S3 and S2 showed their superiority over treatment S0 and S1 with respect to most of the growth and yield attributes as well as seed yield of cluster bean. The maximum WUE was recorded with treatment I2. From net realization point of view, treatment I3 and S3 performed better than rest of the levels.
