ABSTRACT
A field experiment was carried out during the year 2012-2013 to evaluate the combined effect of irrigation levels and mulching on growth and yield of tuberose var. Prajwal. Beside this, effect on proline content and total sugar content were also assessed. From the present study it can be suggested that combined application of irrigation level at 0.8 PEF along with paddy straw mulch @ 10 t/ha (I3M1) was found better for enhanced growth and yield of flower as compared to combination of I1M0 (0.4 PEF + no mulch). Proline content and total sugar content were reducing with increasing the irrigation levels with mulching. Minimum value of proline and total sugar content was observed in I4M1 followed by I3M1.
