ABSTRACT
The experiment was carried out during kharif season 2013 on loam soil under (IRRI-SVPUA&T Meerut, Uttar Pradesh) collobrative research project to evaluate the effect of irrigation scheduling and weed management practices on weed dynamics, water productivity, performance and profitability's of direct dry seeded rice. The study revealed that I1 (continuous shallow flooding) had significant lowest total weed density and total dry weight of weed at harvest stage, water productivity (0.32 kg grain m-3) and unfilled grain moreover, I1 (continuous shallow flooding) were also recorded highest performance viz., plant height (101.41 cm), tiller density (269.83 m2), plant biomass (1102.76 g/m2), filled grain (135.30), biological yield (14.00 t ha-1) and harvest index (39.90 %), and profitability's viz., gross return (86058 ` ha-1), net return (41116 `ha-1) production efficiency (49.6 kg/day/ha) and economic efficiency (363.9 `/day/ha). Likewise W2 (weed free) shown similar trend as noticed above besides, weed control efficiency at 40 and 60 DAS (100 %) of each, except water productivity, maximum net return and economic efficiency.
