ABSTRACT
An experiment was conducted in paddy in a high soil available P vertisols under K.C. Canal ayacut at Regional Agric. Research Station, Nandyal to study the influence of levels of phosphorus either alone or in conjunction with FYM and green manure on growth and yield attributes of rice during kharif, 2011. Among the treatments, the highest performance is attributed to significant improvement in growth and yield parameters viz., Plant height, dry matter production m-2, test weight, number of filled grains and number of grains were significantly higher with the application of 50% recommended dose of phosphorus along with green manure. Application of 50% recommended dose of phosphorus recorded highest number of tillers m-2 at different stages of plant growth. From this study it can be concluded that integrated use of 50% recommended dose of phosphorus with green manure showed favourable morphological growth characters with improved yield attributes leads higher grain yield.
