ABSTRACT
Bush pepper is nothing but black pepper (Piper nigrum L.) with bushy stature. This is obtained by using a plagiotropic shoot of black pepper for propagation. The requirement of standards, larger area, and skilled labour increased the demand for bush pepper resulting in the need for standardizing the nutrient dosage and effective method of fertilizer application to it. The study was conducted at Horticultural Research and Extension Centre, Sirsi during 2017-2019. A total of seven treatments were taken up in a completely randomised design. The treatments included different doses of nutrients applied as soil application and also in combination with foliar fertilizer application. The results revealed that an increase in the dosage of nutrients increases the growth when applied to the soil. Furthermore, foliar application of a smaller dose of nutrients resulted in higher growth of bush pepper.
