ABSTRACT
A field experiment which was carried out at the Soil Science Research Farm, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences-Deemed to be University, Allahabad during kharif season, 2015. The experiment was conducted in factorial Randomized block design with three level of N:P:K [control (L0), N10P20K20 (L1) and N20P40K40 (L2)] and three levels of Neem cake [control (N0), @ 2.5 q ha-1 (N1) and @ 5.0 q ha-1 (N2)]. The present investigation revealed that among fertility levels application of N20P40K40 (L2) recorded the highest plant height (83.93 cm), pod length (13.35 cm), no. of cluster plant-1 (10.15), no. of pod cluster-1 (8.62), no. of pod plant-1 (88.15), no. of seed pods-1 (8.70), pod yield plot-1 (2377.78 g) and pod yield ha-1 (59.44 q ha-1). Among different levels of neem cake, application of 5.0 q ha-1 (N2) neem cake recorded significantly higher growth parameters, yield attributing characters and yields. The combined application of N20P40K40 + Neem Cake @ 5 q ha-1 (L2N2) recorded the best results in terms of growth and yield of cluster bean.
