ABSTRACT
A field trial was conducted to determine the effect of organic and inorganic sources of nutrients on growth and yield of Kalanamak rice consisting of five different strains and four sources of nutrients. Experimental results indicated that the maximum leaf area index (4.13) was recorded in S5 at 90 DAT, plant height (169.0cm) at physiological maturity, number of leaves per hill (72.3) at 90 DAT in strain S2 whereas maximum grain yield (24.1 q/ha)was recorded in Strain S2 and harvest index (24.1 %) was obtained in in Strain S3 of Kalanamak rice. In case of sources of nutrients treatment T4 (N60P40K40S20) showed maximum plant height (86.6, 131.9, 168.8 cm), number of leave per hill (44.4, 72.6, 48.7), leaf area index (0.61, 4.22, 0.41), at 45, 90 DAT and physiological maturity, respectively with maximum grain yield (27.4 q/ha) and harvest index (25.7%). Interaction between strains and sources of nutrients was found non-significant.
