ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University; Coimbatore to study the effect of integrated organic management in chillies. The experiment was laid out in Randomized block design with four replications. The treatments were, T1 : 100 % organic as Enriched FYM + vermicompost + neem cake (1/3rdeach to supply recommended N), T2 : T1 + Biofertilizer + Phosphorus solublising bacteria, T3 : T1 + Panchakavya 3% foliar spray thrice, T4 : T1 + (chillies + onion) - (cowpea + corriander), T5 : T1 + One mechanical weeding and one hand weeding, T6 : 50 % N as Enriched FYM + Biofertilizer + Phosphorus solublising bacteria, T7 : 50% NPK as chemical fertilizer + 50% N as Enriched FYM T8 : 100% recommended NPK as chemical fertilizers. The result reveled that application of required N to chilies in an integrated manner with 50% N as enriched FYM and 50% N as inorganic significantly increase the growth parameter like ( plant height, number of branches, leaf area, dry matter production) and green chilli yield.
