ABSTRACT
The present research work on the effect of organic manures, Panchgavya and PSB on growth, yield and quality of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) cv. Iceberg in Prayagraj agroclimatic conditions” was carried out during November 2018 to January 2019 at experimental field of the Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. The research material comprised of twelve treatments along with three replications in Randomized Block Design. The results revealed that the combination of Vermicompost, FYM, Panchgavya and PSB in treatment T9 (50% RDF Vermicompost + 50% RDF FYM + Panchgavya + PSB) significantly increased the growth, yield and quality and gave the best result in terms of plant height (20.96 cm), plant spread (39.71 cm), leaf area meter (151.22 cm2), head length (20.82 cm), head breadth (13.60 cm), yield (24.28 t/ha ), TSS (4.410Brix) and Vitamin C (5.79 mg/100g) on Lettuce.
Key words :
FYM, Lettuce growth, Panchgavya, PSB, Vermicompost, Yield and quality.
