ABSTRACT
Field experiment were conducted at the college form, N.M College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari during rabi and summer season of 2015-16 and 2016-17 to study the effect of phosphorus management on total phosphorus content of rabi maize and summer green gram crop sequence. The present study resulted that among the different phosphorous fertilizer SSP, RP (composted) alone or along with AM increased total phosphorus significantly over control (T2) in rabi maize and summer greengram crop during the both years of the study and pooled analysis. Phosphorus content in maize plant was showed the order of P in silk >P in grain> P in straw>P in cob sheath>P in cob core. Significantly higher phosphorus content in greengram seeds was recorded with application of T11 during first year and treatments (T10 and T8) during 2016-17 and pooled analysis respectively. Similarly significantly higher phosphorus content in greengram stover was found (0.423 and 0.395%) in the treatment T8 during 2015-16 and in pooled analysis while second year in treatment T11 (0.379 %). Significantly higher phosphorus content in greengram pod cover was recorded under treatment T8 (0.466 and 0.486 %) during fist and second years while in pooled analysis result indicated that the significantly highest value of phosphorus content in pod cover was found under T8 (0.476 %) treatment. The results also indicated that there was non-significantly effect was observed between (F1) and (F2) for the phosphorus content in greengram pods, stover and seeds.
