ABSTRACT
Different pre-emergence (diclosulam 22g/ha, oxyfluorfen 0.1kg/ha and chlorimuron-p-ethyl 9 g/ha) and post-emergence (imazethapyr 75 g/ha, quizalofop-p-ethyl 75g/ha, fenoxyprop-p-ethyl 75g/ha and chlorimuron-p-ethyl 9 g/ha) were studied either alone or in sequence to study their effect on weed control in soybean. These treatments were compared with herbicides along with standard checks. Sequential use of oxyfluorfen 0.1kg/ha followed by (fb) imazethapyr 75g/ha or diclosulam 22g/ha fb imazethapyr 75 g/ha were found most effective in minimizing weed growth and enhancing the seed yield of soybean. Significantly higher soybean seed yield, net returns and B: C ratio was obtained in the above treatments.
