ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted to study the changes in the activities of oxidative enzymes such as peroxidase (POX), polyphenol oxidase (PPO) and ascorbate peroxidase (APOX) influenced by the pre-harvest treatments of gibberellic acid, potassium nitrate and silicic acid during development and different ripening stages of tomato fruits. During the green mature stage the activities of POX, PPO and APOX were recorded minimum whereas in the red ripe fruits the activities were increased. Similar trends were recorded in banding profile of isoforms of POX and PPO.
