ABSTRACT
Field experiment was conducted with four spacing (15, 30 and 45 cm plant to plant and broadcasting) and four clippings (20 DAS, 30 DAS, 40 DAS and (1.01 t ha-1). Whereas, cutting C2 gave highest green herbage yield per plant (0.27 kg). As regards seed yield spacing C2 gave highest seed yield per ha. (0.85 t ha-1). The spacing S2 and C2 recorded highest plant height, diameter at collar region, internodal length, maximum number of branches, number of inflorescence, green herbage yield after clipping plot-1 and seed yield inflorescence-1. Thus, 30 cm plant to plant spacing and clipping at 30 DAS was superior for obtaining green yield as well as seed yield of amaranth per hectare.
